Parts Manager

R.J. Grondin & Son’s is a leading construction company in the southern Maine region looking for a reliable and organized Parts Manager to support our shop and fleet operations. The ideal candidate has experience with diesel trucks, heavy equipment parts, or shop service writing and is comfortable working in a fast-paced shop environment.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate is responsible for managing parts inventory, sourcing and ordering parts, creating and tracking work orders, and coordinating with technicians to keep repairs moving efficiently. This role also supports accurate job costing, vendor coordination, and communication between the shop and management to minimize equipment downtime.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years experience in heavy equipment, diesel truck parts, or service writing
  • Strong knowledge of construction equipment and truck components
  • Experience creating and managing work orders
  • Ability to identify parts using diagrams, manuals, and vendor systems
  • Strong organization and multitasking skills
  • Proficient with computer systems (inventory software, work order systems, Excel, email)
  • Familiarity with fleet or equipment management systems
  • Excellent communication skills with technicians, vendors, and supervisors
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs or more
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
