The Town of Standish planned a major expansion to Memorial Park including three new baseball/softball fields, a playground, dog park, soccer and multi-purpose athletic fields and walking paths. R.J. Grondin & Sons was selected to complete the athletic fields and dog park as part of this important project. The Grondin crew got right to work, stripping topsoil and preparing the nearly 13-acre site. Grondin was responsible for re-graveling, grading and paving the existing access and parking area as well as new full-depth construction for the new roads and parking areas. The crews created two new youth soccer fields, complete with storm water management berms, installed new sidewalks with slipform curbing, and constructed the dog park area with fencing throughout.
